David Rogers co-founded Actors Tax Prep in 2000. His own experience as an actor began in 1993, in New York City. For the previous twenty-five years, Rogers worked in the advertising agency business, and served some of the world's largest ad firms as a senior executive. Early in his acting career, drawn by both opportunity and weather, he became a refugee from the East Coast, immigrating to Los Angeles, where he has lived happily ever after.
A long-time member of AFTRA, SAG and AEA, outside of tax season he works in film, television, theatre and voice-over.
His is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals, the National Society of Accountants, and has been registered with the California Tax Education Council since 2000. Rogers lectures extensively throughout the country on taxation issues affecting the entertainment industry, and is the author of several articles on the same subject matter.
MICAH SCOTT
Micah began acting his freshman year of high school and has not stopped. Though his first love is theatre, he has performed in most genres (film, television, industrials, commercials, voice over, and student film). He has served on various committees at AFTRA and the Screen Actors Guild where he is the Chair of the Tax Assistance Program (formerly known as VITA).
ERNIE CHARLES, EA
Ernie, who has been a valued and popular preparer with us for three years, just received the coveted Enrolled Agent designation from the IRS. After passing a gruelling three-day exam on general tax knowledge, EAs are permitted to represent taxpayers before the IRS all the way up to US Tax Court. Ernie loves acting and has been doing it fourteen years. He graduated from Heidelberg College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He also participated in door-to-door sales program with Southwestern Company, where he was a top experienced salesperson and ran his own business for five summers.
WENDY SILL
Wendy Sill, who just completed her first tax season with us, is an experienced preparer who previously lived and worked in Ohio. A single mom with two teenage daughters, Wendy moved the family West last year to increase opportunty for a daughter bitten by the acting bug. So although not an actor herself, Wendy is immersed in the entertainment world through her daughter's career.
She is our in-house expert on corporate taxation and has made many friends from both new and returning clients. We're delighted to have her as a new member of the Actors Tax Prep family.

CRAIG McALPIN
Craig is entering his fourth year with Actors Tax Prep, Inc. serving clients in the areas of reception, filing, and all around Gentleman Friday. Though he's lived in Los Angeles for almost twenty years, he is ever the Southern boy at heart, growing up in the great state of Mississippi. He has performed in a variety of film, TV, theater and commercials over the years - and like all actors can't wait for his next part.

JUDY BERNSTEIN, CPA
There are several primitive alphabets which have fewer letters than Judy Bernstein could put behind her name if she chose. She’s a CPA, licensed in both California and Florida, and a member of AICPA. She’s a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS). She’s also licensed as a realtor, and we think she’s PDG (Pretty Darned Good). Judy lives in Sherman Oaks, and is the devoted mother of three children. She sings with the Los Angeles Zimriyah Chorale in her limited spare time and is enjoying meeting and working with actors.
KAREN CHRISTIE
Originally from Brooklyn, Karen spent her youth in northern New Jersey. After a decade in Manhattan: attending the NY Academy of Theatrical Arts, doing off-Broadway, off-off-Broadway, dinner theatre, regional theatre and summer stock, she decided that LA was the place to be--but not before doing an intensive Shakespearean course at London Academy of Performing Arts.
Karen moved to LA in 1992, and has worked extensively in TV, film, theatre and cabaret. This tax season is her second with us, and her administrative skills help keep all the rest of us on track.
